The process starts with a conversation. We need to establish exactly what you want from a session. Together, we look at the feelings and issues that are holding you back from your ideal. We discuss what hypnotherapy means to you, busting any myths, and see how RTT can help you. Depending on circumstances, we can either start the therapy session right away or we book an appointment for your therapy session if you wish to proceed.
The therapy session starts with re-affirming the issue that you are going to resolve, and we complete an intake form with your details that remains strictly confidential. I then bring you into a wonderfully relaxed trance state and you explore, with my assistance, past scenes that are relevant to the issue. In this state you are still absolutely in control and can bring yourself back to full awareness any time. We explore the meaning behind the scenes and see if the meaning is still relevant. As it is often meaning made from a past perspective that no longer serves you, we change the meaning and transformation really begins.
I will use other tools to help the transformation. Finally I use suggestions and affirmations that are personal to you, that I make a recording of, which you listen to every day for at least 3 weeks. This is essential for your thought patterns to truly change and you must be committed to do this. I keep in contact with you during that time to keep you accountable to doing this. The therapy session can last up to 90 minutes.
Sometimes complex issues require more than one session, such as extreme eating disorders and severe depression. Those second sessions are offered at a reduced price.
If you have been diagnosed with or suspect you may have a pre-existing medical condition you should consult your GP for advice, diagnosis and treatment and always inform your health professional before starting any alternative or additional therapies, treatments or making any major changes in your diet or exercise programme. This is not a substitute for qualified medical treatment, but complementary to. Results vary. Some clients feel instant change within them after the session, others observe noiceable change over oncoming days or weeks, others may reflect back after weeks to see a noticeable change. It is an essential part of the treatment to listen to the personalised audio for at least three weeks consistently every day.
